‘We
were bidding for a major contract for TfL roads maintenance and TfL
set a pass or fail hurdle for an E&I section. It became clear that
although we already had 85% of policy in place and the right
business core values, we still had a long way to go to further
develop policies, procedures and behaviours to achieve an equality
and diversity approach which had value and could be embedded across
our business at all levels. We appointed PRM to help us with the bid
submission and in parallel to help us develop the policies and
procedures which we needed to further expand our E&D action plan and
training needs for the business. Harish Bhayani was very easy to
work with, his knowledge was extensive and his diplomacy skills in
leading us in the right direction of great value! He became a valued
member of our bid team.
Our Group Managing Director was fully behind the approach and
personally signed the commitment at the beginning of the bid
document, taking ownership of the process and resources necessary to
further develop the E&D and other policies within our three
corporate values.
We successfully passed the bid hurdle and will be using PRM as
one of our key supply chain consultants to work with the contract
team, once we have completed our bid and have been appointed.
Meanwhile, we expect that Harish will be working with our HR team at
corporate level to develop and embed E&D across the business.’
